Rebecka Belldegrun

Rebecka (Zabludowicz) Belldegrun, MD is the former President of Intertech Corporation, an investment company specializing in alternative investment strategies including real estate, fund management, and high technology. She is also a Director of a variety of family-owned businesses in Europe, the Far East, Israel, and Scandinavia.

A graduate of Tel Aviv University Medical School, Dr. Belldegrun completed her residency in Israel and her fellowship in ophthalmology at Massachusetts Eye and Ear Hospital of Harvard Medical School. She serves as Chairman Emeritus of the Board of Trustees at Brentwood School, is a member of the Board of Advisors at RAND Corporation, the Board of Visitors at Columbia University, a member of the University of Pennsylvania Parents Leadership Committee and serves as a member of the Board of the Tel Aviv Foundation.

Born and raised in Tempere, Finland, she established the Belldegrun Fellowship in honor of her parents, Shlomo and Pola Zabludowicz, survivors of the Auschwitz death and labor camp during WWII. The fellowship is designed to thank Scandinavians who demonstrate personal and professional courage through their work in the promotion and protection of human rights for those in less fortunate circumstances.
