JOY OAKS JOINS THE USC CENTER ON PUBLIC DIPLOMACY
NOV 3, 2006
The USC Center on Public Diplomacy is pleased to welcome Joy Oaks, the new Director of Graduate Services for the Master of Public Diplomacy program and event planning and coordinator for the Center.
Oaks will serve as a direct liaison between the master’s students and program director, Dr. Nicholas Cull. She will ensure the master’s degree program meets all academic and admissions requirements set by the university and plan events for the Center’s students.
“We’re delighted to have her here in this capacity,” said Joshua Fouts, Director of the USC Center on Public Diplomacy.
Oaks has worked for the University Of Southern California for nine years and comes to us directly from the Office of Orientation Programs in the Division of Student Affairs. She also served as program advisor to the USC Rossier School of Education’s master’s program. She earned a master’s degree in education from USC and has completed her coursework towards her doctorate in higher education administration.
“I am enjoying working with the students in this exciting new master’s program and hope I am able to use my experience in student services to help them make the most of their time here,” Oaks said. “I also look forward to seeing how the program evolves in the years to come and feel extremely fortunate to be affiliated with such a well-respected program.”
